Torres del Paine Legacy Fund

Torres del Paine

In January of this year we started supporting the Torres del Paine Legacy Fund which is working to help conserve one of South America’s most famous National Parks in Patagonia. As more people visit this beautiful area of Chile, it's evident that more investment is needed to develop infrastructure within the Park and local area which can keep up with the increase in visitor numbers. With the help of private and public donations, the Fund is doing just that; carrying out trail restoration, reforestation of areas of the Park that have been damaged by devastating fires in the last couple of decades and developing energy and waste projects in the Park and the neighbouring community of Puerto Natales.

Through these projects they're helping to contribute to the long term health of the Park and surrounding area to ensure that increased travel and tourism to the region has a positive and sustainable impact. We contribute $25 for every client we send to the Torres del Paine, which goes directly to the Fund’s trail restoration, reforestation, recycling and cultural projects.

Please have a watch of the video below for a recent update on some of the important work they’ve been doing. If you want to become involved with upcoming trail restoration work or would like to visit the Fund's Lenga Tree Nursery while you are in the Torres del Paine then please let us know and we'll be happy to organise it for you.
